My work uses the website accelerator by aptimize on their sites - its amazing for making sites fast but it costs - I do my own optimizations on my site but it takes a lot of time. There seems to be a lot of free tools to help you diagnose speed problems but none to fix them! I use the Firefox addons, Firebug and YSlow to help diagnose issues effecting website speed.
