Yahoo Releases “No Yahoo Directory” Tag

Posted by Web Optimist on Mar 1, 2007 in SEO |

Well, it’s taken a while, but Yahoo has finally released their meta tag that will keep Yahoo Directory title and description tags from showing up in their serps, much like the No ODP meta tag.

It looks like this:

No Yahoo Directory meta tag

What will be interesting is to see whether use of this tag will drop search results for a site or simply replace them with other pages from the site. Time will tell.

More info available at the Yahoo blog.
